Oh look, I'm an idiot who doesn't actually make a poll when putting it in the title. Just talk amongst yourselves, mmmmkay?

Yes, but I wish it would work for passwords when there's no username. I've heard of a "Gator" program, does anybody use this?

Sometimes. It never always works for me, so sometimes I just turn it off. I use Gator instead usually. I don't really like it, but my mom does and it's okay I guess. Are we going to get a Poll: Poll topic now;)?

Gator's a POS. It uses too much memory and pops up ads when you go to certain websites. Crashes alot, and most of the time doesn't recognize that there's a form (or certain form elements) on a page. Avoid it at all costs. It is the spawn of satan.

Starting From Internet Explorer 5.0, Microsoft introduced a new feature AutoComplete built in within the Browser. If you are using the Browser IE 5.0 or above, you should have already came across this Very useful Feature. You should have filled a lots of forms which asks for the same information like Last Name, Email Address, Username, Mailing Address, ZIP, Phone number. These are all common Fields in almost all online Forms, which asks for User Information. A user fills a form first time in his computer and submits the form. When filling another form in a different website, you can notice that all your information appears as a choice in respective fields. Verbatim from this link

I get the pop ups too and that's why I don't like it. I've never been short of memory because of it and I've never had it crash on me, but I just don't care for it. My mom likes it though so it's on here.

I think it crashed because of my firewall. I never investigated it, because I was fed up with all its other crap, so it got nuked. If I remember correctly, it used something like 8-12 megs of memory just sitting in the task bar. I personally think that's too much memory for what it does. Not that it affected my comp's performance noticeably...it just bugs me.

Yeah but what happens when a friend or acquaintance comes over and accesses the internet from your computer,

Then maybe they try to type in: beautyproducts.com

And Autocomplete types in: beaver-pics.com

A potentially embarassing situation

Yeah I use it, but you realize someday(if not yesterday) someone will make a virus(trojan horse) which will sift through all your data thats stored in your autocomplete logs and sent that info back to the source. Anytime I have to enter credit card numbers(besides Amex private pymts), Social Security numbers, etc. I clear out that cache.
