POLL: Do you tip at eateries?

No, I do not, since a tip is earned from continuous service and attention of an individual in meeting all of ones needs during a meal. Tips are also factored into the wages of waiters and waitresses, to the extent that they get compensated at a lower hourly rate, with tips expected to make the difference. Eaterie workers are not penalized in this fashion, and thus should not expect to get tips.

Sometimes I feel offended at the tip jars that are placed on the counters of places like Subway, etc.

Actually... yes.

IF:

1) Food was prepared so amazingly fast
2) The cashier/service person was actually friendly and not pushy
3) Walks out and hands me my food with a thank you

9.9 times out of 10, none the above happens. But probably once in a while, maybe one time in the span of 3 years, the above rings true and I drop an extra dollar in the tip jar.

wtf. I read the thread title as "Do you eat at batteries?" I think it's time for me to go to bed...
