I'm not sure exactly what is meant by 'fear monger', but I do think that Ashcroft is playing on people's fears in order to pass laws that would not ordinarily be able to pass. It's more than just simple fear (of terrorism), though -- it's also fear of being 'un-patriotic' or whatnot. Screw the old bastard. And to think that I was a supporter of his when he was first nominated :|

I've heard that line before. Let's remember Asscroft does not make or pass laws so any fear mongering he does also has to affect quite a few Congressman. I wonder how many of you have told your Congressman what you think. Having said that I personally think Asscroft needs to be kicked in the ass, then kicked to the curb.

Thank you for today's lesson on how the government operates. It's sad some people actually need to be told this, and sadder still they're post some half-baked opinion despite their stunning ignorance. :disgust:
