Depends... my dad on the other hand smells like a bunghole all the time, if he brushes his teeth he smells like a bunghole with toothpaste on it. I'm not joking... his breath literally smells like dirty ass.

We're not going to get many yes votes here, considering most people can't tell themselves, and many more don't have a SO.. :p

my breath smells bad no matter what.

i think it's because of the tonsilloliths or whatever they're called... i get them.. and i heard that causes bad breath.

I read somewhere bad breath is caused by problems in digestive system mostly, that's why brushing doesn't help I guess.

I believe a majority of bad breath causing bacteria originates on the tonque. Whenever I thoroughly brush my teeth and tonque I can smell the bad-breath emminating from my tonque. Always, keep a stick of gum handy!

Smell one sometime.

That will answer your question.

Most peoples' breath smells like asshole, and mine is no different. The only cure is a brushing followed by a continual chewing of gum. Mouthwash you might as well just swish around water - it's a waste of money. I've tried some of the oxygenating products like smilekiss.com and therabreath and they may help I can't really be sure :)

I think what's important is to find a way to combat halitosis/bad breath. What are some of the effective treatments for it?

My trick: listerine regiment (1 minute rinses), brush teeth/tongue, floss, then brush teeth again if necessary (to get rid of blood from flossing). Once that is done, figure out a way to keep saliva flowing by either chewing gum or sucking on something.

Edit: Also, I don't think I've ever met a girl with bad breath. Sure they might have it in the morning (there are some girls that don't, hehe) but during the normal day, I dont' believe I've met one.

i've heard that eating parsley is good for your breath. They also sell parsley oil pills that freshen your breath from the inside out.

can someone confirm?

I've never had a problem with it I'm happy to say, although I will reek as much as anyone else after a caesar salad at Outback.

If you think you have a problem with bad breath, covering it up with all things minty isn't going to make it go away. Invest in a tongue scrapper (should be using one of these anyway, cuts down on colds) and then get you some Oxyfresh toothpaste and mouth wash.

GOOD STUFF Combine the toothpaste, and the flouride mouthwash with a tongue scrapper and you're good to go. Trust me, the active ingredient in this stuff is a safe version of what is used to treat landfills and sewage. You're wasting your money on Listerine, as it's alcohol-based approach won't kill the sulfer deposits on your tongue, what causes bad breath.

I just surfed the Oxyfresh website and those products are VERY expensive plus shipping. Are you positively for this product?? Buying the Toothpaste and the Rinse is going to cost about 25 bucks! While my regular regiment of Listerine/Aquafresh/Floss costs about 6 bucks.

My dad had that. It was very easy to diagnose and fix. Now I can stand to talk to him within a 5 foot radius of his body. :)

You get what you pay for, but trust me, it's worth every penny. The toothpaste is super concentrated, you have to put very little on the brush. One tube lasts my girl and I about 3 months.

i brush often. maybe 6 times a day, so i have decent breath.

I have a family member who has halitosis, he actually stinks up the bedroom he sleeps in (when he visits). I takes at least 2 weeks to fully remove the stink in the room.

I also have a family friend who has halitosis and we make it a point to have 'mints' as dessert.
