[POLL] - do you snore ?

My now-wife tells me I never used to snore until the last few months (here come the marriage jokes).

She pokes me in the middle of the night to get me to stop, but I start up again. It sucks that this developed now, after 26 previous years of silence. WTF ?! I need to look up how to stop this...

I am not sure if I've always snored, but lately it's been pretty bad due to swollen tonsils.

Is it possible you have a seasonal allergy problem?

Have you gained weight? I started snoring more after I gained weight. I guess the double-chin puts more weight on my throat or something.

i usually dont, but i have been caught a couple times.
also sleptwalk a couple times
i more frequently talk in my sleep than snore
everytime i nap i drool, but never when i am sleeping thru the night

I used to snore and very baddly. My wife was always getting upset.

so she had me go to the doctor about it. I ended up having to have my tonsils removed and I have broken nose so many times i was not getting enough air flow. so i had surgery to fix that.

after thosei don't snore anymore at all. I also get a better night's sleep and just feel better.

Yeah I noticed that napping is the only time i drool.

Just tell her to sit on your face. One sniff and you're cured for the nite. J/K.

There are a couple of things that help me stop snoring:
1. Sleep on one side, turn over to the other side.
2. Higher pillow(s), get a second pillow if you need it (if you're sleeping on your back)

3. There's a product you can buy at your local walmart that will hold your nostrils opened wider. Forgot what they're called, but I tried it once and it works pretty good. Its a tape that you put over your nose which pulls the nasil cavity opened wider. Very good on nights you have stuffy nose.

4. Sleep with your mouth closed.

hmmm.. maybe that's it... I'm sleeping with my mouth open because my nose gets stuffy (sometimes the A/C is on too high?) and I can't breathe through it.

I can't think of anything else that has changed (except for maybe stress level).

I sleep like a corpse. I usually don't even move once I'm tucked in. The pc fan across the room makes more noise while hibernating.

Not that I know of. I live alone currently and so wouldn't know if I did, but haven't had complaints from roomates / family / gf's in the past.
