I fly quite a bit and it's not uncommon for me to go through a paperback book each way.

You have no idea what an entertaining mental image this conjured up for me. 🙂

My mind is about as low in the gutter as one can get, and I'm having troubles making something foul out of my statement. 😕

Yep, i read about 5 books a week (which equals to about 5 hours of day), so quite a bit. I get burned out, since when i get hooked on a genre, i'll keep reading the same genre until i get sick of it, then i'll find something different.

I read Scientific American, New Scientist, Discover, The Economist and National Geographic but those are magazines so I guess I don't read 🙁 Even though they are more educational than any novel you read 😛

You fly domestically? You're probably a pretty fast reader then... do you speed read?

Constantly. Probably 3 novels a week. Currently working my way though AnneMcCaffrey's works.

I'm currently reading What Dreams May Come by Richard Matheson... i swear, this author is absolutely amazing. You can tell that this book has influenced other stories/movies (like Ghost... and of course the movie What Dreams May Come). Other book i read by him was I Am Legend, which obviously influenced movies such as Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later... and other undead/end of the world books/movies.

Previously to this i read Fevre Dream by GRR Martin... yes, the same author as Song of Ice and Fire, and although a completely different book, it's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I swear, you would think he actually lived the time and was simply recounting it... or at the very least was an expert on river steamboats and the culture. *boggles* my mind how descriptive and engaging the book was. It's not your typical vampire story, but that's why i like it (i hate all the erotic vampire stories that seems to be so common these days).
