Poll: Do you read your news online or do you prefer newspaper?

Two newspapers every day - the local conservative paper and the local liberal paper.

Online is great for breaking news, but you will get much more information from a newspaper, especially for local news. Newspapers, more than other media, scrutinize government and help keep them on the up-and-up. That's why I believe there's a correlation between fewer newspapers and more corruption in government. Most citizens don't take the time to attend meetings and hearings. Without that scrutiny there's not enough oversight of what government does.

And reading two different styles of newspapers helps me to understand both sides of the story.

Wish I had a REAL local newspaper to read. The local rag is so useless.

Since I don't have a local newspaper I rely on the net and TV.

Both. Online is great for up to the minute stuff, but I can't drag my computer into the bathroom. 😀

I usually get all my news online, but I buy the newspaper so I can do the crosswords during class and catch anything i missed online.
