POLL: Do you put coleslaw on your barbecue sandwiches ?

I was raised on Midwest barbecue (Kansas City and Texas)
Never even heard of putting coleslaw on your barbecue till
I moved to the Southeast...

I hear thats how all the big barbecue places in the South do it (Virginia, Carolina, Tennessee, etc.)
I tried it and its so nasty.




Does anyone here do it ?

Went to BBQ King yesterday (Tennessee style BBQ) and there was a big pile of 'slaw on the pork sandwich. I drowned the poor bastard in sauce and licked the plate clean. I'm hungry.

Have you tried tummy medicine or ginger ale? Can you keep anything down? Make sure you don't dehydrate!

No, many BBQ places in the South put coleslaw on the sammiches. I've never heard of sauerkraut being used as a condiment for anything but hot dogs/sausages.

Personally I like using a really tangy cole slaw as a condiment sometimes.

Nothing goes better with sauerkraut than some fresh pork schnitzel and apple sauce. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

As for the coleslaw on BBQ, i've had it once at a restaurant and didn't care for it very much, although I can't say I *hate* it.
