Do you underclock/overclock your CPU? If so what type of results are you getting out of it (% increase). Just so that we are all on the same page, lets say the formula for figuring out percent increase is:

(overclocked speed) - rated speed
---------------------------------------------------- x 100
rated speed

so a 500 MHz CPU OC to 550 would be a 10% gain.

Note: This is based on the rated speed of the CPU when you bought it, if your Athlon Classic has a 600 core for example, and you bought a 500 and OC it to 600, that is an OC.

I did it in my head, and I suck at math so I wouldn't be suprised if I did it wrong.

Hmph! Although not as spectacular a CPU as can be, I'm running my Celeron 400 @ 500, = 25% increase, translating to way below 25% performance gain. Will be purchasing a Celly 600 and hoping to get it to 900! (fingers crossed).

Two Celeron 300A systems, one on a BE6 II Rev2 at 479MHz (that's 60% OC) and one on a BH6 at 450MHz (that's a 50% OC). Both rocksolid and working for almost two years.

Old system which i fried during resoldering :-(

Athlon Classic 500@792:

(792 - 500) * 100 = 58,4%
500

New system:

Athlon Classic 750@1040:

(1040 - 750) * 100 = 38,6%
750

Backup system:

Am5x86 PR75 133@160

(160 - 133) * 100 = 20,3%
133

My first Athlon Classic, had more in it I think, but I never got to test it.

My Duron 600 is reaching 820, mostly stable. Already this with stock HSF! I'm encouraged.

That's 37%, it's a start.

hhee, I made my parents Pent MMX 166 go 188! That's a 13.3% increase!

For the math, it's just the end minus the original, divided by the original.
