The Noobs will never understand. Back in the good old days, we had little pics called Avatars. We posted and flamed like there was no tomorrow, never once truly appreciating what we had. Alas, those days are gone and along with it a little bit of our hearts.

Did not even realize they were missing, but now that you mention it, yeah there is something wrong. At random some do show. Maybe the preset ones show but any custom ones don't, or something.

I had noticed lot of members with avatars that no longer had them but had just assumed they removed them for some reason.

Edit: And my santa hat squirrel one seems to be working, unless it's my cache playing tricks on me. I think I've had that one for years, never bothered changing it. LOL

I missed them so much that [post=32856195]I found a way to bring back all the ones in my browsing cache[/post]! Now I miss them...less.

I do as they were great places to find where your last post was so you can see what was new in the thread easier then looking at names.

I mostly miss the speed the forums used to be, they are way the hell slower now.

Also, I used to tell who was posting crap just by their avatar, now I actually have to read names.

Kind of inconvenient

Seems half are missing and half are still ok. I can still see mine, Gothgar's, waggy's, Newbian's, djnsmith7's avatars for example, but Born2bwire's, Ken g6's, Red Squirrel's, and sandorski's avatars are busted.

Who do we blame :hmm:

This. Talk about effectiveness of cloud systems. :whiste:
:D
Yes, and all the hopes of no more messages of "Database is undergoing more routine 5-hour-long maintenance" were quickly dashed to pieces. The cloud just means that the errors can be generated far more efficiently.
