so what do you guys think about litter
i personally do not litter.
i have a friend who does, ive asked him not to or to explain why he thinks he needs to.
he says that the interstates, roads, freeways and cars have done more damage to the environment than his paper fast food bag could ever do and that he doesnt care to have prestine highway medians and shoulders.
i can see his point, but i still dont agree.

can some of the crowd chime in with reasons why they are voting yes.

No. Never. I've even been known to pick up a freshly discarded butt and clip it under the offender's windshield wiper blade. It's beyond me why people think it's okay to flip cigarettes out the window. :|

Never. Sometimes when Im at sonic and I see someone chuck something out the window, i just wanna get out of my car and chuck it back into their car and then beat them senseless. My better judgement kicks in when i realize Id probably get arrested for assault ;)

Not intentionally, no.

If a wraper or somthing blows away in a strong wind, I'm not gonna chase it for 5 miles so I can put it in a garbage can though.

I swear the state budget crises would be averted if people were fined for tossing cigarettes out windows. It's like the concept of the ashtray is alien.

Yes. Every chance I get.
Why? Simple. It generates jobs. If EVERYONE always cleaned up after themselves we wouldnt need sanitation workers, janitors or people who use there community service time to pick up parks.
So, every time I throw a cup or can or wrapper out the window I smile and know that I am ensuring job securituy for someone and helping the economy go 'round. :)

Nope. I find it completely irresponsible. Will it kill you to hang on to that wrapper until you reach your destination? Will your legs fall off if you have to walk 50 feet to the nearest garbage can to throw it away?

But then again, I look at some people homes who wallow in thier own filth and just see it as second nature to them. :disgust:

I throw some petty sh*t on the ground now and then, if it's something I don't want in my pocket, like a [fruit] core or something.

By and large littering doesn't bother me, only really stupid cases of it do. I was at a red light one time, and this stupid motherf*cker a few cars up was rummaging around behind him and throwing huge wads of trash out the window! What?! THAT bugs the hell out of me.

Guess I'll come to KC and go on a massive crime and vandalism spree so the cops, construction guys, firefighters, cleanup crews, and others will have jobs!

or seeing your tax dollars go to use. by that i mean, by littering, you have something for DUI-convicted citizens to pick on the side of the freeway when they perform their community service.

btw: i kid. i personally dont litter, but im not going to take on a holy crusade against anyone who does. its a problem that will be damn near impossible to resolve, unless we turn into singapore.

Parts of Ireland fine $2000 Euro (about $2400USD) for littering :Q

No, I don't, and people that do are assholes. Why should I have to clean up after your stupid, lazy, inconsiderate ass?

Depends on the situation. Bottles and stuff, no. But if I'm out in the country I'll toss stuff that decompses, like paper, food, etc, into out of the way places.

No, it's not worth it to ruin the environment so I don't have to walk 20 feet to a garbage can.
