if so, which is your fav?

I just finished downloading the Carmen Suit No1 and it rules. I've loved it since I played it in gr10 (I played that big ol' double bass :) )

I'm kind of partial to the Baroque period...

I have to be in the right mood to listen to classical, though.

Yup. I took music appreciation last semester and now I am hooked on it. I have almost 2 gig of classical MP3's.

My favorites are:

Anything from Mozart
Beethoven's Baroque music (harpsichord).
Wagner is later than classical but he is good, too...

I was raised on classical music and formally trained in 2 instruments :)

Current faves:
Tchaikovsky #5 in e minor
Stravinsky Firebird
Mozart violin concerto #4
Tchaikovsky romeo and juliet
prokofiev romeo and juliet

I'm rather partial to contemp. russians for listening...mozart, bach, and tchaikovsky for my own playing on the instrument i ended up with: violin.

I do enjoy classical music when i'm studying.

Vivaldi - Op. 8, No. 1, "Spring" from "The Four Seasons" though i think this is too early to be considered classical.

Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525, III
Haydn - Symphony No. 94 in G major

alot more but these are the ones i listen to most often.

Where's chess9? He is a classical music aficionado. :)

I do, when the mood strikes me, not overly partial though, let me correct that, I'm not educated in classical music enough to know exactly who I'm listening too I just know what sounds nice and I leave it on.
