Do you like your job or do you hate it beyond words? What do you do, how much do you get paid and how do you get through it if you hate it?

Circuit City, $8.50 I like it other then having to push warranties onto people. Until I find something better I'll stick with it to pay my bills thru college. (I want to open a business of some sort, something on the side to make some money, but I have no clue what I could do- especially since it takes money to make money).

I do now...I just got a raise from $8.50 - $10.25. I have two jobs - I work at two departments at my school. At one job I do computer support in a lab and at another I work for the PD.

Walmart is alright, its just the usual retail
School's computer department is a little better, get to listen to people bitch about their computers and find out how much spyware and search for viruses on their computers.

cleaner, 7:30 hours a week, work in a school building, 5 pounds 28p at hour, which i think in this crap exchange rate is like 9 dollars an hour, most people my age make like 4 pounds 30 an hour so i think i have a decent job, and it isn't that difficult, and i work alone under no pressure really

The best job I have had so far.
I make around $40\hr, full time, but I'm not sure since my last raise.

Support/Deployment Engineer for a vendor that makes specific networking products. I get paid enough, but wouldn't mind more, and I love the job. Every day is a new opportunity to learn something new and useful.

Librarian in the UCLA Music Library. That means that I have unlimited access to some tens of thousands of scores, huge backissue collections of journals and magazines (including stereo equipment reviews), ~15000 LPs and ~16000 CDs. So yeah, I love my job.

Love my new job.

Great salary, great benefits (heathcare could be a little better but that is in the works), three weeks paid vacation, and lots of great morale building events. The official dress code is "business casual" but I went in on a first day and everyone is in jeans and tshirts. I've been here for two weeks and there have already been three open bar events with lots of food. This is the first job I've been at that discourages salaried employees from overtime and working on weekends. Even the CEO told me, "We pay you for 40 hours, you work 40 hours. Only work more if there is no way around it." Hours are flexible and I can come in at any time and leave at anytime as long as the work gets done. My job responsibilities pretty much gives me free reign to do whatever I want. All grunt work is delegated off to my staff. Should I feel there is not enough people, I can hire two more whenever I want.

I love it. I'm an intern at the ICU of one of my local hospitals making $5.25/hour, working 12 hour shifts, sometimes back to back. All this ontop of college means no time for me to sleep, and I couldn't be happier.

Damn, is it legal to pay you that little?

Of course. I'm happy with it because they supplement my payment with hands-on training and case studies to get me ahead of the curve for med school and the PGY years.

I love everything about my job except the pay. Not that the pay is horrible, it's just not as high as I would like it to be.

<thought>maybe if I spend more time working and less time on ATOT I can get a raise</thought>

Its alright... The people in my deptartment all get along and help each other out. Sure I could use more money and better benefits but I've learned a lot about the business side of the corporate world so thats good...

Besides if I am expendable I believe I can find another job.

I wish that you had a "It's OK" option in this poll. Since you don't, though, I voted no. By job isn't BAD, mind you, but it can get boring and repetitive at times.

I make $9 an hour working as a student tech for Central Washington University. I work on PCs right now, but soon I'll start working on Macs as well since one of the Mac tech students is graduating. :) And yes, I'm very fond of my job.

I need a job. Was thinking of getting one as a file clerk at my mom's law firm. Get a cubicle and sort sh!t, good enough for me. No grills, no food, office environment to work on drawings if I have free time.
