Poll: Do you like 80s music?

While a lot of '80s music is pure dog poop (Wham! for example), the best of it is considerably better than anything produced today.

Could you mention what you consider the best 80s music is?

I guess it depends if you mean the late 80's alternative, or glam, metal, buttrock, new wave, etc.

Well I won't make it that specific of a poll. Its general..as in..when someone mentions 80s music what is the first thing that pops into your head "Ahh that sh!t sucks" or "I love 80s music!".

Aerosmith started in early 70s

Huge Duran Duran fan here, I wanted to marry Simon LeBon soooo bad. 😛 I also like REO Speedwagon and The Police. Actually I like alot of it, considering I grew up on it.

I hate when they call it golden oldies now, makes me feel so old. 🙁

Golden Oldies? Here at the station we use the to refer to 50s Doo-wop music. You've got another good 30 years left. 😛

They call the 80s music here "Hot mix" or something like that. The people at your station need to be smacked around!

There's all sorts of music that came out in the 80s. From Duran Duran, my favs "Undone". Check out the song "Careless Whisper" from Wham!. If you don't like that, then there is no Wham! you will like.
Other worth while bands (some may have started late 70s):
Rock:
Alan Parsons, April Wine, Cheap Trick, Dire Straits, Foreigner, Gary Wright, Greg Kihn, INXS, Krokus, Moxy, Night Ranger, The Police, Quarterflash, Robert Palmer, Sherbs, Triumph, U2, UFO
Hair Metal: Dokken, Great White, Whitesnake
New Wave:
A Flock of Seagulls, After the Fire, The Cult, The Cure, Falco, Human League, Missing Persons, Men at Work, Modern English, Oingo Boingo, Pet Shop Boys, Talking Heads, Til Tuesday, The Tubes
Prog Rock: Iron Maiden, Queensryche
Other: Journey, Shooting Star
