I have to take meds daily for the rheumatoid arthritis I have, (not just an old person's disease anymore!), and I can dry-swallow up to six or so at a time.

I have somewhat of a problem. I can take a few at a time, but no more. My mom can literally eat a whole handfull at once.

If I did, I'd probably be dead. When I was young, in order to treat asthma attacks I had to swallow some huge pills. Then I had to wait around for an hour for the medicine to open my lungs so I could breathe.
