I have the Toshiba Satellite 2805-S402 Laptop.

It has:

PIII 850 Mhz
128Mb Ram (upgrading to 256mb in a few days)
nVidia GeForce 2 Go graphics card (I get 100 fps on CS at 1024x768)
20.0Gb HD (that's the bottleneck, i think it's only at 4200rpms...too slow)
15.0 TFT screen (big and bright)
DVD/CDRW combo 6x4x4x24
and the rest: floppy, Ethernet/modem combo, IEEE1394, 2 USB ports, all those other ports, pcmcia, smartmedia drive

IT'S LOADED!!!

Just a little comment on the poll, it's a little biased I think. People with laptops are coming to vote while ones without aren't bothering.

No, I don't have a laptop.Three things have conspired to keep me from buying one.

#1)They're way too expensive.

#2)Until recently, all high-end L/T's had Intel CPU's....and I am NOT gonna give intel any $.

#3)The screen resolution/battery life subpar performance turned me off.

Now mind you, AMD has a new Athlon4 available for L/T's.The prices have been dropping from 'totally insane' levels, to 'eccentric luxury'.

Finally, Screen resolution and new technologies in both screens and battery life have been improving.

I'll get one when Technology and pricing come down to 'affordable luxury'.
