My arches aren't as high as they used to be. :(

That comes with age and weight lifting.

i have it..i heard that it kind of hinders your ability to run compared to others?

Also @ the pool, when feet are wet, most people have the blades, toes and heals foot print on the floor

while for me..it's the whole damn thing

Yep same here. My sister has damned high arches so when we were little she'd walk and there'd be just a little line and some toes whereas, I, sloshed water all over the damned place.

It does not hinder your ability to run. I have flat feet, I wear orthodics for it. I'm in track and field; I'm a sprinter; and I'm not slow. All you have to do is learn how to run and you'll be fine.

not at all. My arches are pretty high, but I still overpronate, on my left foot at least. Stupid leg length discrepency. I'd be pretty neutral except my right leg is 3/8" longer than my left and that messes me up. And it doesn't necessarily hinder your running, you just need accomodating shoes and maybe orthotics. Chances are if you have low arches that you overpronate, that is, your foot rolls inward excessively upon landing. Some stability or motion control shoes and/or orthotics can take care of that in a hurry. :)
