All my cars and trucks have the flag displayed. My neighbor has a large flag pole with a small garden and it suffices for me and my neighbors. I'm surrounded....by veterans from several wars.

I absolutely cringe when I see the way our schools handle Old Glory. I remember being in grade school and being bestowed the honor of raising the Flag every 7AM and lowering it every 5PM for a week. It took three of us to lower it and fold it properly.

When each student got his turn he or she was never late for school and the parents of the kids took the time to support the activity as well seeing the kids gat there early and arranged transportation home. You see we had NEIGHBORS and FRIENDS and those terms were defined differently back then.
