yes -- because i'd rather pay 16bucks all at once and only have to stop for gas once a week-- than fill up 4-5 dollars at a time and fill up every other day.

I don't want to be bothered with a lot of trips to the pump each week, I fill it up.

i dont understand the point of filling a few bucks

unless you have to share your car with someone that uses all your gas

i have to fill it up everytime due to an unfortunate problem. i drive a 97 monte carlo with a bad gas guage. if i don't fill up everytime, trip the counter, and drive till i hit 240 miles, i run out of gas. :(

The excess stops to gas stations wastes
[*]more gas (driving out of your way, starting up again),
[*]more money (each transaction costs the gas station money so they have to keep up with raising gas prices),
[*]more time (it takes longer for two separate half trips than one full trip).

So unless you are really broke at the moment or unless you share gas costs with others, I see no benefit for filling up partially each time.

ALWAYS FILL UP. It's easier to fill up every once and awhile than to plop down 5 bucks every couple days.

It depends, lately the price has been on a rollercoster.

Some times, I'll get home at night and the price is X, by morning it's X+9(cents a Litre) until later in the evening.

Last friday night before Midnight it was 72.9 cents a Litre, after midnight it was 79.9.

I don't understand why people do this. My wife used to do it but I was able to break her of that habit. For some reason she seemed to think she spent less on gas if she only put a few dollars in each time. Fact is you are spending more time at the gas station breathing toxic gas fumes. I don't get it.

Fill it up. I don't see the reason not to, especially since I'm the only one who uses my car and because I do a lot of driving (~15k/year, just to and fro work).

still though how much are you really saving per trip

that is 7 cents a gallon
even if you drive some gas guzzler that holds 30 gallons that is $2.10 cents

even if you earn minimum wage assum $6.00 /hr

if you are saving $2.00 than that is worth 20 minutes of your time but you also have to factor in the extra gas as well so in essence you are gaining little to nothing

unless you feel your time is worthless than by all means
