I think the rational explanation is evolution with its roots and direction given by a higher power. This just happens to satisfy everyone, and I am in a non-confrontational mood today.

This poll needs a "both" option, for those who belive god/gods created the world with the big bang and then it went to evolution.

you have to be careful when you ask evolution or creation because evolution does not explain how creatures began, just how we go from ancestral species to current species. Creation and evolution aren't really comparable.

Just my 2 cents.

Creation refers to God making all creatures as they are now. Meaning Man (and Woman) did not evolve but were created.

Evolution refers to us coming from the monkeys.

He doesn't need a both. Whether evolution came about because of some higher power or not is irrelevant.

I am sorry to burst your bubble, but evolution is not a theory. It is a fact. Exactly how it takes place over time is, of course, still a bunch of theories.

Creation as stated in the bible is a load of mularky. However, that is not to say that creation did not happen. The bible is widely open to interpretation. Anyone believing that the 7 day story is a factual recount is a bonafide moron.

Evolution is a fact.

Creation is a theory.

I am sorry if you disagree, but this is frankly indisputable.

Agreed, but I don't think anyone other than loonies take the Bible word for word. It's a bunch of stories passed down by word of mouth, and people have always liked to exaggerate.

add a both to the poll.
i believe everything was set in motion by God, and things evolved from there.
