I'm wondering if anyone actually had any experience of taking a nap during the working hours. I know it sounds crazy. It happened to me today. I'm sitting in the room alone, all the co-workers are absent (due to illness). Pretty much noone could see me. I was feeling slightly tired because I didn't get much sleep yesterday. So I accidentally put my head on the table and looked at the watch. It was 1 hour later. I know if I was spotted I'd probably be fired. It sucks to see someone sleep at work. Hope nobody seen that

My job involves allot of driving to different company locations to work. If someone is along for the ride (rare) or I am riding with them, Sure I sleep.
 
i have before but only cause i wasn't feeling well and stayed out the night before. 😉

its not a regular thing though. 😛
 
No, there are just too many people around me and
visit me constantly so there is no way for me to take a nap.
 
I used to have a job that wasn't too difficult to do and often had to work late at night...so it wasn't a problem for me to catch a few half-hour naps.
 
Yeah, I also have to add that I'm not paid by the hour, but for getting a certain job done. <--- that's why I have to get back to work 🙁 Anyway, I feel better now. Hope this won't ever happen again.
 
My boss does it weekly... if not daily... and it pisses me off. If it was up to me he would have been fired a loooong time ago. :|
 
it's happened before but only for like 5 minutes

occasionally i'll stay late so that i can get a 15 minute nap in....i have a pretty long commute and i don't want to be sleeping then
 
I have come close. We work weird shifts and sometimes late at night it can get awfully tempting. But I just have to remind myself that the person who had my job before me, was fired for being caught sleeping.
 
I have seen other people take a snooze when there are no surgical cases going on. I usualy just get on the PC and surf the web. I find it funny that I actually get in more trouble sitting on the PC, while others dont get in trouble for snoozing in the lounge, :| . Oh-well, It could be worse.

That's how I found out that I snore too. 🙂

I just put my head down for a minute... woke up I guess because of my loud snoring... with all the co-workers looking at me. This is at the network command center.

sure, we have some nice big couches outside for people to take a nap on if they want, its not a big deal at my place of work. i take 15-20 min catnaps if im really tired or had a late night.
