Man with the guard on there cutting your own hair is EASY as hell ! First try and it came out nice. Its kind of easier to cut my hair since im black. I was watching a video of some guy cutting a white person head and they he was using a comb and stuff.

no pun--- just stating what i saw from the video.

ya man i know... just think a hair cut for me is $12-15 and the clippers kit cost me $25.99, so think three trips to the barber is $36 and the clippers already paid for itself.

I normally don't just get a buzz so I pay to get it cut, but if I get it buzzed I do it or have a friend help, one of my friends that is black cuts his own hair all the time, its easier to do when its just a buzz. And oh on a note about barbers: Guys DONT let your girlfriend take you to her "Barber" yes I'm sure he does a great job, but when I get my hair cut I want some busty blonde rubbin my head, not some scrawny white guy telling me how soft my skin is...
 
Plus now i got more time! Sitting and waiting for my hair to be cut is kind of borin. Yes i know about the movie Barber Shop. (lol) Black people hair grow back very fast as you know. One of my friends at school asked, "When do you get your haircut" and i say "every two weeks" and hes like "wtf you dont have any hair and thats way to quick." Yes i try to go every 2 weeks and if not the 3rd week.

I've cut my own hair since high school. Started with the bowl cut, the mastered to the ultra smooth fade. In college I used to cut everyones hair in the dorm, white and black. White/straight hair is a pain in the ass to cut.

My hair grows super fast! My preference is high and tight but how can you do a fade without seeing the back? I believe I can cut my hair better than anyone else on earth but if I had gone a while without a hair cut then I wouldnt be able to do it myself. If its just a couple of weeks after one then I could probably take it back to what it should be except that cleaning up the mess each time would be a problem.

Well think of a bathroom mirror with 4 closing and open mirrors like doors. If i need to see the back i open 1 slighty to the right of the 4 mirrors so it reflects off the others than i get a big hand mirror and put that infront of me, so i can see the back. You can have someone do the back for you if u miss something or cant get it.

Something like this but with 4 mirror instead of two. instead of thoses 2 metal things we got mirrors there.
 
I go to a barber, and I should probably do so this weekend before graduation, hair so long it gets in your eyelids = sux.

lol ya. I couldnt keep the clippers flat on my head and plus when i think im cutting something, im in the wrong spot b/c of the mirror.
 
I shave my head so yeah, i guess i cut my own hair these days, i have had to keep it high and tight for a long time so it seems that shaving it off would just be easier, and it is. Besides, women want to touch it, sometimes i feel like a kitten.

I think Im gonna start cutting my own hair and having my mom fade the back. Main reason is because at the barber I go to its an asian couple and the lady has these clippers that need serious oiling because even though I condition my hair making it smooth for the cut, the damned thing still rips at my scalp without her even knowing it.
