I have enough trouble remembering all the stuff I need to take, much less wandering around for 5 minutes shutting doors.

I do currently because
a) I only have one inside door.
b) I live in the downstairs of a family's home and I don't want them coming downstairs to drop off mail or something and seeing my messy bedroom.

Bless you Paige. 🙂

Man, maybe I am a little neurotic. I dunno, I learned of the habit in grade school and usually remember to close the doors before I go out for a night. Only takes 30 seconds or so in a 2-storey.

Here (in my mom's house) I close the door to my bedroom because I don't want the cats running in and destroying my stuff. At the dorms....well there aren't any interior doors to close except that of the bathroom. 😛

I do not normally close doors and when I do it is to keep the dog out of the bedrooms.

I've read fire safety brochures where they say to sleep with doors closed as well, but there is no way I can do that.

No, as it prevents air circulation and creates hot and cold spots in my apartment.

Edit: I do always keep all my doors locked, whether I'm inside my apartment, or gone.

I have no inside doors except for the bathroom, the pantry, and the sliding doors of the closets. I voted no in spirit though as I make no extra effort to close doors unless I am trying to tidy up.

There are no doors downstairs in my house. Living room, dining room, kitchen, den, foyer, laundry room all just connected by archways. Bedroom doors are rarely closed at all, let alone when I leave the house.

i probably won't when i get married, but right now i have roommates and they are psycho, so yes, i close my own door. i have a lock too, though, but i don't go to that extreme.

I close my bedroom door because I keep the bedroom at a different temperature than the rest of the apartment. It's the only door I have except the bathroom, and I leave the bathroom door open.

Nope, if my home is going to burn up, I want it to go out in a blaze of glory, not just some weak, smoldering flames.

Yes. I close the Laundry door, all the bathroom doors, bedroom door, closet door, and of course, front door. 🙂
