POLL: Do you care to consider others feelings before you post?

After being active in these forums the most part of 3+ years now, there are a lot of people who just do not care. I know, I know, this can sound absurd (note the sarcasm), and downright humorous, but hear me out . Many times in these forums have I witnessed some of you being complete jackasses. Without cause or reason, you lash out to someone in dispair, with which the main reason usually seems to be annoyance.

Do some of you rude ass people understand that you can actually just skip a thread and not post in it? There's really not any one thread I am posting this in relation to, just wanted to create a poll .

I am rude, and proud of it. If someone starts a thread on a public forum, they are looking for opinions. If mine doesnt agree with theirs, that would be their problem

i don't consider myself one of the rude ATOT posters.

i'd be willing to bet that 99% of the rude posters on AT aren't so in real life. they are probably picked on in real life and come here to vent.

well, i think there's a difference between opinionated and rude.

lots of flames are started with "you fvsktard..." or "you moron..." or "what are you stupid?" . it's easy to type that out, but i'd bet 99% of those people would never say that in real life.

That's one of the things that bugs me most about this place. You know what most of these dumbass internet tough guys are like in real life. Very annoying.

I can proudly say however that I am not one of them. I'm almost as much of a dick in real life as I am here. It's a little easier to be a dick here to be honest. Not like I look to be rude to people. I just say things how I see them. If you ask me a stupid fvcking question expect my answer to, in some manner, let you know what an idiot you are. Whether it's here or in my normal life.

Yup... so many people are flat out rude on the internet because the person they are talking to can't haul off and hit them on the spot. Most wouldn't say 1/10 the crap the do on the boards to someone in person.

so then i just say "screw it"..and cancel the reply b/c i don't want to sound mean or rude w/o having good reason to.

I have also canceled a reply before, knowing I would get grief. I guess sometimes it's hard to bite your tounge when you know there isn't someone there to slap the taste out of your mouth.
