Brought mine to Wine Appreciation every lecture. Only way I could get through the three hour lecture.

I just don't see how it could be useful. I am taking mostly math courses now, but when I took english courses, it didn't help at all. Slowed me down for sure.

I took it to some classes but found that it was more of a pain to haul it around even though its small and relatively light. I dont know, I just havent seen the need to bring it to my classes this quarter or last, its just as easy to write the stuff down even if it is slower.

It's the only reason I have a laptop. I have a desktop that I use when ever I'm not in class.

I would think a tablet PC would be perfect for students...

that way, you don't have to worry about the PC slowing you down when taking notes.

I type a hell of a lot faster than I write. The only notes I ever handwrote in college were equations in math/science classes.

there you go, with a tablet, you can still type and turn the screen around when you need to hand write those equations. a perfect solution :p

From my personal experience as a computer salesman working at a major retailer, I can say that we have sold a grand total of 3 tablet laptops. One of which was returned.

I mainly use my laptop when I go home from school and I occasionally take it to class only when the teacher won't get mad.
