This isn't the only evidence. I will list others. Not just an MTG thread but an overall topic in general Do we finally have enough evidence to prove if Republicans care about the rule of law.

Kevin McCarthy met with the family of Ashlii Babbit. The same KMC that lied to the families of capital police
Kevin McCarthy told 2 officers in private meeting that Trump had no idea his supporters were attacking Capitol on January 6, newly obtained audio shows | CNN Politics

Republicans have labeled Jan 6 just a tourist event.

Sen Ron Johnson said he was "comfortable" with Trump's people attacking the capital as long as they weren't those "BLM" types.

Republicans in Georgia because the DA is going after Trump's election crimes, they are drafting legislation to take away her power.

The same Republicans in GA have made no effort in legislation to prevent an attempt by a crooked President to steal the election in that state in the future. Meanwhile they enacted restriction to make it harder for minorities to vote.

Donald Trump, Jim Jordan and KMC are attacking and threatening the life of the Manhattan DA for doing his job.

Finally, MTG and a contingent are visiting the criminal terrorists, insurrectionists in prison and still downplaying their crimes.
Marjorie Taylor Greene is heading to jail tomorrow and the internet has thoughts - Queerty

I think they do this just to piss off democrats. They and MTG sit around thinking up ways to piss people off, thinking of ways to shove the crimes of Donald Trump in our face. I think it's time that Trump, with a gun, actually shoot a complete stranger dead on the streets of 5th avenue in New York City. It would be interesting to see how these people like MTG and McCarthy and so many others defend Donald Trump for cold blooded 1st degree murder. We all know that they would defend Trump, and we all know that Trump is absolutely right in that he could get away with murder.

I just can't figure out how or why these people love Trump so much??? He's nothing. He's only a fat corrupt real estate amateur and a bad reality tv game show host. What has Trump done to them or for them to justify such admiration? This is really weird. Either they have nothing better to do with their time, or they are just bored with themselves. I know McCarthy and house republicans are bored with themselves, they can't seem to govern nor do they even know where to begin. It's like sitting around, bored to death, picking lint out of your bellybutton. Kevin McCarthy is perfectly content just sitting around picking the lint out of the governments bellybutton. He has nothing better to do. They have nothing better to do. I guess they are waiting for their leader Donald Trump to return and tell them what to do. And Donald Trump is just as clueless as they are.

House Dems to attend MTG pilgrimage to the prison housing the terrorist traitors. There are there to ensure lies don't come out of the visit. Another reason they want to shed light on conditions of all prisons in the country and prison reform not just feel bad for white people. This is smart of the Dems. I would have a hard time being in that group without throwing up.

Driving the news: A spokesperson for House Oversight Democrats said progressive Reps. Summer Lee (D-Pa.) and Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) "will cut through Republicans’ attempts to whitewash the dangerous realities of Jan. 6."

Between the lines: Don't expect the kind of bipartisan cameraderie sometimes found at CODELs led by lawmakers with aligned visions.

  • The spokesperson said the "MAGA-led tour" is "nothing more than Speaker McCarthy making good on his promise to give control of the Committee to extreme Republican voices" and noted Lee and Crockett "spent their careers protecting the civil rights of those who are actually marginalized."
  • Lee, in a brief interview at the Capitol on Thursday, framed her goal as "visiting incarcerated Americans," adding, "Nothing that I do is 'joining' Marjorie Taylor Greene. She is not my leader."

I'm stymied by the Rule of Law. I could have a great time if Star-Trek beamed me up with my Louisville Slugger so I was standing within three feet of MTG. I'm totally heterosexual, but my line-drive would get rapid and extensive practice.

As a Christian, I wouldn't hesitate to murder the entire GOP if I could arrange it. But -- there's the Rule of Law.

Why don't they just start that civil war they talk about, suspend the Rule of Law and skin their smokewagons and go to work? Then the Blues could finish it without Lincoln's mercy. I certainly wouldn't have any with that space-alien filth!

If they had the goods on Trump for committing a capital crime, I'd advocate restoring public executions so they could dispatch him on Independence Day for Prime Time Red State TV and a year of constant re-runs.

Sherman should have been allowed to finish his work.

Visiting who, exactly?
I imagine Fox News would provide a very different answer for who is being visited, rather than call them insurrectionists.
Why... MTG is just being a hero of the people for visiting the innocent Republicans who were savagely attacked by vile Democrats. Victims of your evil.

Don't care about the rule of law? Attacking our elections and Democracy should have been the final straw there.
But don't pretend for one second that the rule of law will save us from this. In this conflict, they will not be the only ones who need to put it aside and act with force.

The Rule of Law along with the protections and rights Our Constitution provide for us just isn't working for the Republicans anymore so what's a self-described conservative patriot to do? To protect all of the people of the nation just doesn't sit right with the right wing of the nation, especially the racist ones that chose to grace the Republican party with their allegiance.

With a select group of American plutocrats providing the grist and highest level of influence for their assault on democracy and their push for an autocratic form of gov't in their control, the danger is real so long as they keep the base of the Repub party ignorant and well supplied with baseless talking points and lies that are specifically targeted at their emotions where facts and truths don't matter and replaced with hate, fear, suspicion and distrust. A winning formula that works so well on the gullible, of whom are so well represented in the churches of the nation and are now being exploited by their political leaders demanding the same level of faith that those folks have in their politically corrupted clergy.

More fuckery from the so called law and order party. This is their new generic defense. They came after us because we are Republicans. Forget breaking the law. The only way you goto jail if you are black and accidently cast a vote.

BTW - How is AG Ken Paxton of Texas indicted 7 years ago not gone to trial? Are they waiting for too much time to go by so witnesses forget?
