Can be very challenging. Public accounting. Audits, taxes, etc. It's our job to find out where others screwed up. It's gotta be perfect when it goes out the door to a client or to the IRS.
Software development, oh yeah. You never do exactly the same thing twice, since if you could, you wouldn't -- you'd just copy and paste the existing block of code.
I don't get why people want challenging jobs. I can see interesting or satisfying, but why challenging? I mean mindless would be bad, but challenging seems like too much work.
My work isn't overly challanging. Dealing with a few select professor's gets annoying. I just gotta make sure we don't have a meltdown at the lab and ever now and again I will do some coding.
Challenging... not as much as frustrating though. Doing the same thing over and over is pretty boring, but the details... Oh the details. And the paperwork. So boring.
