Sure we all like our pets, but thats not what Im talking about. Im talking about people who not only share the same plate of food with their animal, but also toungue kiss them on occasion (even though they know where that toungue has been  ) I could go on and on, but Ill leave it at that.

I dont know about you, but thats just creepy. Or can you defend this odd behaviour?

yes very... especially anyone that let their dogs lick their face and what not. If they do that, they might as well lick my taint while they're at it...

And you know, Ive had some pets Ive really liked. Some have lasted almost two decades. But I would never toungue kiss them. Ever.

Letting a dog lick your face is disgusting, let alone your mouth and just now, fact checking a statment I was going to make about a dogs mouth being cleaner than a humans, I learned that is not true.

QFT. My dad's girlfriend got this way over our dog. I liked the dog alot, and it was sad to have to put her down(dog got cancer, couldn't walk), but she's still like a wreck about it a year later.

It's also creepy when people tend to forget that parts of our mind work exactly like the lesser beasts.

So youre saying some people make not only an emotional connection, but an autonomic one as well?

I'm not even sure what you're saying, but I have no idea how you got it from what I said.

No more so than people that are intently attached to computers, cars, baseball cards, MMORG (whatever you call it), etc.

If my dog wants to lick me in the face, I don't mind (tongue kissing...ehhh, no fvking way). She normally only does it when she hasn't seen me in a while and I'm not heartless enough to brush her off when she's showing affection in her own way.

That being said, I also:

1) Let her sleep in the bed with me (under the covers if she wishes).
2) Sometimes, I let her sit in my lap while I'm eating at the kitchen table (she curls up in a ball and goes to sleep while I'm sitting down).

Yeah I have 2 Black Labs (both females) and when they start tag teaming me, it gets crazy. They start giving me tongue and rubbing my crotch and straddling me....it's nuts!! I finally have to push them away.

Edit: Damn, I misread the title as pets that get attached to their owners...Doh!! ;)

People who act disgusted when a dog licks there face are funny. OMG the dog's tongue is going to burn my face off. It's just trying to show you some love.

When I was about 12 I slept with a puppy. We had just gotten him along with another dog. He had a strange deformity, kind of like a cleft lip / palette. He cried all not long in another room and I couldnt sleep because of it. So I brought him in bed and he slept on my chest. A few whimpers but he was soon asleep and thankfully so was I.

He probably had other internal defects because he died while I was at school the next day. He was a white pit bull and I will never forget that puppy.

Being licked by a dog is inevitable. I usually try to get them off me as I laugh and keep my mouth tight lipped and closed.

But Im not going to lick them back! Thats just not in me.

People who can't go anywhere without their damned dogs irritate me. They show up at your house and expect you to put up with their slobbering, leg humping beast, take their dog in Home Depot with them, tie them up outside the grocery store.... Jesus, take your dog for a walk in the park and then leave him home.
