Poll: Do openly gay displays of affection, kissing, etc bother you?

I was watching 6 Feet Under, and one of the characters is gay. At the beginning of the episode, it shows him engaged in a kiss with his lover.

Does seeing that make anyone else uncomfortable? I actually have to turn away from the TV..

I know this isn't politically correct, and have nothing against gays, I just don't like seeing it.

Thoughts?

It bothers me, because I do not think it is natural or right. And yes, I would feel uncomfortable.

But if it is two nice grrls, I would sit there, be uncomfortable, thinking it isn't right, and stare.

Yes it makes me feel uncomfortable. And I am not homophobic. We have a family friend that we have known for years that is gay, and he cuts my hair, and being around him doesn't bother me a bit. He's a cool guy. But, if he started kissing on some dude while I was around, I would be a bit bothered by it.

It really depends on how it's done (at least as far as TV and movies go). Anyone ever watch Spin City? The homosexual character on that show would occasionally have some contact with someone playing his lover. Never bothered me in the least because the character was so well done.

OTOH, the homosexual scenes with Will Smith in Six Degrees of Separation made me very uneasy. (GREAT movie, BTW). And, Ellen Degenerate makes me want to puke.

Yeah...

I saw these two guys walk out of Jewel-Osco the other day, holding hands tightly, swinging them back and forth, looking at each other. One was a older native american, I think, with long, curly, black hair, and the other a plain white guy with a bit of a gut.

They walked right by me, who was about to spill my guts on the parkng lot, ignoring me completly...engrossed in each other.

No problem with me-

I see it as any other display of affection- they care about each other, so they show it.. doesn't matter if it's guy/girl, guy/guy, girl/girl, or any multiple of- but that's just me. I like to stay open-minded.
