Poll: Disneyland vs. California Adventure

My fiancee is going to visit next week from overseas.

I've been to the Orlando Disney parks A LOT (I sorta use to worked there), and she's been a few times.

Neither of us have ever been to the stuff in Anaheim.

We only have one day to spare.

We have no kids.

In your opinion, which park is better?

DL is more like Disney World, just on a much smaller scale. CA is more like Universal Studios, if that makes sense. I found CA to be more interesting but I enjoyed DL on the fun scale more.

i dont know about california adventure, but disneyland was a bit boring to me. maybe that was because i had gone to disney world 6 months earlier and had a blast there with my kids. i guess disneyland can be fun, but i was basing my fun factor relative to disneyworld.

Also since you've been to disney world in orlando I think disneyland would be a big disappointment.

I offered. She refused. I LOVE MM... but she won't ride. She also refuses Knott's Splash City or whatever -- no huge waterslides!

Japanese wife is a lot more adventurous than Taiwanese wife.

CA sucks ass. My mother-in-law works at Dismalland and so I get in free whenever I want. Rarely do I go into CA. Only good thing: Margaritas are for sale on that side...

I'm told California Adventure is more of an adult-oriented park. Not so many fast rides or stuff like that. I'd definitely go for Disneyland though.

in short, Cal Adventure is tooo small. rides are very new but limited.
not bad for 20 bucks (student price)

CA adventure has the one real roller coaster in the two parks. Disneyland is kiddie ride to the max.

I'd go to Disneyland over CA adventure any day though. I enjoy normal Disneyland.

If they still have it, you can try to get the two park hopper passes to go between the two parks but since it's summer deals are scarce.

Disneyland is boring, I'd stay home.

IMO driving or playing quake3 is a lot more thrilling experience than those kiddie rides at Disneyland.
