Poll: Disc Doctors: Worth it?

Being in high school, I can't exactly just throw $30 out the window. I've heard mixed reactions about them, I have some scratched CD's (damned irresponsible friends ), so what do you think. Should I spend $30 on one of these disc doctor things?

My wife bought me one for my birthday a couple years back. I guess she felt bad, since she's the one who usually scratches my CDs. Anyhow, I had a CD that was in extremely bad shape (it had somehow ended up under the floor mat in my truck). It still doesn't look pretty, but it plays now.

The only CD that it couldn't fix for me was my Final Fantasy Anthology CD for PSX. It has a small, deep scratch near the inner portion that the Disk Doctor doesn't even touch for some reason. (I don't let my brother borrow my games anymore, needless to say.)
