He's a new member, let's indulge him Yes this has been done before, but cinematically I felt Hannibal was excellent. Not too bad of a story either, but it did have a few holes here and there. Definitely entertaining, and that's the point of movies right?
It should have developed the plot better instead of just trying to make a horror show. The book ( I know - comparing the two is pointless) did such a better job of giving reasons for the action scenes. In the movie it looked like the violence was directed to just impress the audience instead of furthering the plotline.
So this is where the people who liked "Hannibal" are. I have yet to meet anyone who liked this movie. No one HATES it, they seem disappointed more than anything.
It seemed like each scene in the movie was trying to outdo the previous in terms of shock value. I really thought the story was crap. I can agree with the comments about cinematics, I actually walked out of the theater with a less critical opinion, but in retrospect, ewven that couldn't hide the fact that it was not a good film.
ohh ,the more i think about it, the more i think it was pretty good, and a very nicely done thriller, I was very impressed when I saw it in the theater. but soon I'll be reading the book, so I'm not sure what I'll think of it then.
I didnt particularly like the movie, there was little to no suspense.
I was expecting something on par with SOTL, which was a mistake.
As for the gore, well I continued to eat my snacks through movie, and laughed out loud when I saw hannibals dinner menu sitting at the table.
ok danny, so you're winning so far!!!
i know that the polls show that more people thought it was good, but if you look at the comments so far, more people disliked it.
we'll see what happens
