I didn't really like Speaker. Different kind of book I guess. A lot of my friends liked it better than Ender's Game too, but I almost loathed it!

Really? I didn't like the sequels nearly as much. Ender's Shadow was good though. How are the other books in the Ender's Shadow series?

I dunno. I've only read Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, and Speaker for the Dead

I read Ender's Game, and loved it. Read Speaker for the Dead, and loved it. Read Xenocide, and it was ok. I finally got tired of waiting for the next one to come out, and haven't read any of the others.

It really annoys me when authors do things like that. He waited 6 years to put out Xenocide, and then another 3 years before Ender's Shadow. He did the same thing with the Tales of Alvin Maker. Prentice Alvin came out in '89, and then Alvin Journeyman didn't come out until '95. I never read any other the Worthing Chronicle books, but he put out the first 2 in '79, and then waits until '83 for #3. Then he waits until '90 to put out #4. I feel sorry for the people who were waiting on that one.

great book!.. I recently picked up Shadow of the Hegemon hardcover for like $4. I guess the bookstore had more than they knew what to do with.

Enders game was great. That little kid pulled off some cool stuff, and the ending was great of course. I knew something had to be fishy when the book was nearly done yet the war hadnt started yet, but it still hit me like a brick.

Speakers, xenocide and children of the mind were good, but I didnt like any of the lusitania characters, but the other characters in it were interesting. Bean, petra and all the good characters were left behind for some whiny brat annoying ass woman, her pain in the ass children, walking and talking suicidal piggies that mate with trees with have dominatrix wives, philosophical giant ants, a clearly way too female in every way AI on crack, figments of his imagination brought to life and some mental chinese people with obsessive compulsive disorder.

Ive had enders shadow on my bookshelf for the past couple of months but havent gotten around to reading it yet. I mean, how cool can it be if its the same book as the first just told from a different perspective? I already know how its going to end.

That's what I thought but it was still pretty good. It focuses more on Bean's life before he came to Battle School than Ender's Game did.

Ender's Game was great, Shadow was pretty good also, but I didn't care for Speaker, and haven't read ony of the other sequels. Speaker kind of turned me off, I only read Shadow because a friend loaned me the book.

Hmph, didn't even know there was an Ender's Shadow book. I'll have to pick it up, then read Ender's Game again.

I would go with Ender's Shadow first. Then again, I guess there are some people who really liked the sequels.

Hmm, I want to read them in order, so I won't be confused about what is happening.
