Poll: Did the Chauvin jury render a verdict based on the evidence or were they were just afraid of riotous mobs?

Was the verdict based on the evidence or was an innocent man found guilty just to satisfy "the mob"?

FWIW, I think the wording of the question is a bit awkward. I cannot claim to know what the members of the jury were actually thinking about during their deliberations (and neither can Fox News). Based on the coverage of the trial that I saw, it would be hard for me to see Chauvin as "innocent", and the subsequent interviews with the jury alternates give me the impression that the jury did their job without undue outside influence. But I could be wrong...

Juror confirms what I thought all along.

I put very little stock in what jurors say, post trial. What is he supposed to say? "We thought he was innocent, but found him guilty because of fears of unrest."

I did found his comments about 3rd degree murder and discussions to decide whether that statute applied to be more interesting.

Another article on it:

Saw the interview. Very clear, concise, and level headed was that juror. This country should be proud of the jury system.

That is surely your right to think all the jurors are lying.

So Fox News is pushing a narrative that the only reason a jury would convict for the murder of a black man (for which there is absolutely conclusive video evidence) is because of fears of black unrest?

They're not even trying to hide the racism anymore.

That's it. Cops can't possibly be guilty because black people are always up to some crime.

I'm not going to do all the work for you.

It's your obligation to back up your assertions, not mine to refute them. I looked, anyway, & couldn't find actual GOP politicians expressing the same sentiment, but rather the contrary. Right wing media personalities & media influencers are a different story, of course.

Is 46% 'many'?

He didn't say Republicans what he said was: " Several Republican politicians".

Several is more than one...

Several Republican politicians have publically stated the entire Chauvin trial was a setup. The answer to your question is yes

Not to mention that a poll with a MOE of +/- 23% is junk. I think GOP voters need some reflection & introspection. Demonization won't help them do it.
