I never accused you of being a Christian. Sorry if you took offense somehow.

We as a nation, accept religion as basically good. I think that as a matter of necessity, we must start with that assumption for all religions if we value the concept of freedom of religion. If we are to condemn a religion or a variety of it, there must be clearly visible proof that it is dangerous. Guesses and assumptions don't count without devaluing our principles.

I cannot, in good conscience, condemn, blame, or punish all Muslims for the actions of a few. If I cast no blame, what do I have to excuse?

If we allow ourselves to restrict any religion for the actions of a few, we must restrict them all for the same type of collective crimes. Is this where you want to go?

Associating all Muslims with the heinous acts of 9-11 and assigning them collective blame generates absolutely no benefit for the country or its people, and manifold problems. The logic required to get to such a point is so strained with assumptions, personal interpretations, and assorted variables that there is no way anyone could even assume that the conclusion was valid.

Does this help to inform the discussion?

It's time that someone took a stand against Religion and for Government.

One of the reasons that America has been succesfuk, is that it has not cow-towwed to Religion.

It had nothing to do with it. +1

Do your research and use your brains, people, and stop puking up the party line and making up inflammatory topics and polls for no reason.

This poll ain't news and barely even covers politics.

If you want to debate the Mosque, go to the Mosque pile, this is a REPOST.

When their "bible" teaches to hate Jews, non-believers, and sub-humanize women, how can you not blame Islam?

This.

O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people." Koran 60:8

Everyone who answered no to this poll and is a non-muslim... well you are a kafir... and not just to the likes of osama bin laden. You are about on equal standing as a dog.

You didn't answer my question. Do you have an answer?

The idea that Allah is the one true god and Mohammed is his phrophet. The concept of Jihad, etc.
You didn't clarify what the "something about Islam" was. I can't answer a question that is so non-specific. That is why I asked you for clarification.

More than a billion people are Muslims. A very tiny percentage of those become terrorists. If Islam is any sort of driving factor in becoming a Muslim terrorist, why is it only a tiny percentage? What makes those people different?

You're one of the hate-spreading rabble-rousers who misrepresents others, selective, double standards, etc. You're the problem.

My Muslim friends disagree with you.

God does not forbid you from being kind and acting justly towards those who did not fight over faith with you, nor expelled you from your homes. God indeed loves those who are just. (8)

He only forbids you from making friends with those who fought over faith with you and banished you from your homes, and aided in your exile. Whoever makes friends with them is a transgressor. (9)

So what you're saying is that it's Ok to be Christian or Jewish as long as you don't disagree with a Muslim? Like drawing a picture of Mohammed? :p

Cause and perpetration are two different things, though blame is laid on both.

I cannot say Islam’s existence alone is the cause. These people, who were Islamic, had reason for genocide. They had reason to kill themselves. They, together, had a foreign international bond and loyalty.

Islam most certainly plays a role, probably a significant role, though it is absolutely not the sole cause.

I have to just guess that a lot of you have never had any real life interaction with any Muslims.
It's the only way I figure you come to so many insane conclusions.

edit- On the other hand, I don't think I've met any Jews in my life, yet I don't think they all are going to fit into an Aryan Nation's members view
In the same way, I wouldn't judge all Americans by the posts I see in PnN
