POLL: Did dr. phil just say "sh**" on letterman?

You people never cease to amaze me.

You all rag on Dr. Phil, and you can't even get anything!

Maybe you should take his advise instead.

is there a big deal about using a particular word on TV? Heck TV invents words not found in a dictionary how could there possibly be a problem with using one that is accounted for?

uhm no, I dont realize this - so what happened to your freedom of speech?

broadcast television has to abide by quite a few rules. thats why you never see the cast of friends naked or homer simpson saying f-ck or anyone at all saying sh't. i think they are supposed to get fined by the fcc or someone else when it happens. they will probably be able to get their way out of this one though (regardless of this poll's outcome)

i guess what im saying is that i can say sh-t all i want right now but if i go down the road to the elementary school and start yelling it in the kids' faces someone will get upset. same thing with broadcast tv, there could be chilluns watching

They used a**hole on ER two weeks ago. Didn't cut off the ending, they just used the whole thing. Loud. So - I don't see the big deal.
