Poll: DanC Poll!!! Should he stay? (Show your support)

Well, I havn't seen a single response to any of the recent discussion that would indicate anybody wants you to leave. Even DPC members have chimed in with support for our venerable DanC.

I am making this pole because Dan mentioned doing it in a recent post, and I thought that if he comes back after a weekend of reconciliation and finds this we might still be able to keep a cherished member.

I know the above is biased, but I don't think it is any different than any of the other posts. Let's show DanC how much we appreciate his efforts, team spirit, and comraderie (sp?).

DanC should stay. He's done nothing wrong so why should he go - if he did do something bad the mods are here to sort it out.

Also, reason number 2. If Paulson (who is still a teen) can take getting laughed, flamed, etc, etc.... I'm sure DanC can pull it all back together.

DanC, you haven't gotten to where you are in the technology world by bowing down to pressure and worrying about what others think. Why do so now? I've been on this team since the first couple of days of its creation and there were many ups and downs. One of the more recent "ups" was Russ finally joining, another was you joining him in the effort. The upsurge in interest and keyrate caused by One and Two of Borg has helped the whole team, myself included, to re-engergize.

Now I want to ask you a logic question.... does it make sense to quit and hurt the majority of the team, who stand with you as fellow, unified, TA'ers, or to ignore the comments of a very, very small but vocal fraction that have irritated you? I think you know the answer.... since you are in league with Russ, I doubt you're the type who quits easy.

I'll look forward to seeing you around as you continue what you have started, seeing it through to the end!

I'm sure Dan was temporarily set back by all the unkind remarks thrown his way, but I believe he left because he felt that it had become a hopeless situation. The hopeless situation I refer to is the lack of unity and a lack of devotion to assimilation.

My current thoughts and hopes are that he will read all these posts and realize that he has made a bad decision - that there is enough unity and devotion to assimilation for the team to improve.

I agree with you Blade. I was thinking that some people who may not respond to a thread might just vote in a poll. It was meant to curb complainers and only offer support. Also, as a poll, it quantifies. We will soon be able to say" X # of people Love you man!" or X # of people are willing to donate blocks if you stay." I thought it would be a different tactic than a hundred post thread full of posts saying the same thing.

Of course I support DanC staying! He works hard for TA. The Borg are not slackers! (No offense slacker!)

He has a valid point that the team needs to do more. If you have a suggestion I recomend you post it for consideration.
