OK guys -
I've done a little arm-twisting. We can now proceed with CPU Reviews if the team agrees. This is VERY high-profile, and dnet advertises here too. Here's the skinny:

We would be pleased to run a 25,000 impression top of page banner ad
campaign for you (after we approve the creative).

Your cost would be:

$625.00 25,000 impressions at $25CPM rate (same CPM as 50K impressions)
-$ 62.50 less 10% "first order" discount
--------
$562.00 total cost (US funds; Canadian taxes only apply to Canadian firms)

Please register your preference. If a winner, we'll go ahead and place the ad.
Thank you!

dc

edit: PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE ON THIS!!!!

Yep, CPU Reviews is a nice site with lots of traffic. We should get a pretty decent response from that, especially if they put it in a fairly prominent position on the site.

Sounds good. Although it's been some time since I visited the site. I can't even remember why I stopped...hmm.

Sorry, I haven't kept up on this topic lately.
What's the linkage for the banner ad? Something very cool I hope.

sounds good, but don't ya think that there should be a link about all the d/c proggies?
kinda like the one that was one our main page, instead of just to dnet?

just a thought.
no flames intended

danzigrules--The page that is up is very even handed, I don't think it favors any one subset of the team. Here's a link to the finished product Welcome Page. It doesn't actually link to Dnet--should be great for all of us :D.

I intentionally fought with my admitted bias toward RC-5 and attempted to create a message that would get people to join the forums. Once in - we have a chance to talk to them.

It's not intended to do anything else but get them to say hi. :)

Sales job is up to us.

Maybe I missed something.... but where is this site at? Maybe we could look at it and kinda get an idea where it looks like it will be placed?

That's a very well writen piece, guy!
The only suggestion I might come up with is to add something that emphasizes our appreciation of the the newbie and put in some links for the various FAQ's.

NICE JOB!

Nice work DanC,

I will now start the three months banner space campaign. As soon as it is up I'll give an update.

I do want to know a little thing.
About two weeks ago, someone made an asp-link on the team-website to check how many click-throughs we got from which source?
Is that link still available or built in? It would be nice if it is. Then we can do some sort of analysis of which sort of links are the best to work with.

Peter -
That was graciously made by Mika.
He has created a new page that tracks separately the clicks from CPU Review from the Active Hardware.

Awfully nice of him don't you think?

Thanks sciencewhiz.

I thought I tried that but maybe it was the lack of sleep and the thoughts of getting a new job. I will find out in a couple of hours weather or not I get the job. Should be interesting... :p
