Poll: CPU for a MS-6182

I have a MSI MS-6182 slot-1 motherboard. I want to know what kinds of CPUs does this board support. The manual says "PII/PIII/Celeron Processor". Supports 233, 266, 300, 333, 350, 400, 450, 500, and faster processors. But how fast? What about the coppermines?

thanks,

Jason

I am running now a Celeron 566 Mhz on this board.
Got a beta bios from MSI so it detects the Celeron ok (befor the bios upgarde it worked fine but the procssor was detected as "cupermine running on 127 MHZ"
Look at the board you have , if you see on the battery a blue label
with "c" your board will support cupermine.

Good luck

My board does have the blue 'c' on the battery. Great! Where did you get the beta Bios? I have only found 1.4 on the MSI website. Can you send me the beta bios?

Thanks,
Jason

I sure could use the Bios update also. I tried a PIII 700 but I had ramdom lock ups. It would not run an hour without locking up. Tried tweaking all the bios settings I thought applicable. Used the same CPU and memory on an Aopen AX3S without a hitch. The 6182D has lots of features but I thought MSI had abandoned it. A bios upgrade might be just the answer.
