Poll: Conservative or Liberal?

Simple question.
Simple poll.
Need be no flaming, bashing, trashing of anyones opinions on politics.

I would say im a liberial at heart, but can see conservative views when I run into money.

You ought to add "in between."

I don't consider myself either. Depending on the particular issue, I can agree with either side.

In between.

I try to be very open-minded, and depending on the issue, I will agree with either side.

That one dropped like a rock.

Comon, I see alot of you posting about your views.
And you can smell their scent from a mile away.
I just want to see you come out and say what you think you stand up for.

Liberal when I was younger; since I've gained earning power and seen the world as it truly is. VERY conservative.

I'm moderate but I tend to sway to the liberal side more often than not.

I'm very pro-conservative economics, but with social issues I tend toward the liberal side. (Abortion type issues)

The definition of a libertarian is someone who wants neither taxation and programs from the left nor bible thumping goons from the right.

Libertarian added.

Maximus i agree with you.
I am finding out that Im conservative with economics, but with social issues I lean towards liberal thinking.

I take it issue by issue. I am conservative on some issues (such as Affirmative Action and Abortion), while Liberal on others (like the Environment). Personally, I think it is stupid and a cop-out to vote with one party or another. I am a registered independent. Issue by issue is the only way to go.

I am never, as far as I know, Libertarian.

Looks like the conservative views are coming ahead.

Now, what about the average age of users on AT.
Could be a sign ;)

Libertarian, is for smaller gov't to be put shortly. We accept no laws that infringe on personal freedom, we don't accept unconstitutional laws, and think that the gov't should only be used to protect the people.

Contrasting views of either parties:

Against the War on Drugs (non-violent drug offenders should be pardoned)

Social Security should be abolished

Cut down on national offense (troops), and concentrate on a better national defense

Get the U.S. completely out of foriegn affairs

Abolish income tax and replace it with nothing. (this is done through the sale of gov't owned lands)

Gun-control laws are all removed.

Like I said before, it depends on the issue. I believe that pretty much everyone is like that.

I mean... Of all the people that voted either Liberal or Conservative, do you really think the same way on ALL the issues?
