In my "program house" on campus (which is owned and run by students) we don't have a university ethernet connection so we have Verizon Business DSL at 1.5Mbps. We ordered 7.1Mbps but the idiots at Verizon never figured out how to get that to us. Half of the Verizon people we'd call would say you do have 7.1 and the other half would say they're working on it. Idiots.

I got quoted for two way at £100/month, for 256 down, 96 up........but with the delay's that they bring (3000+), wouldn't be worth it.
