On a PII 233 machine, I accidentally changed the clock setting to 266 and rebooted. The machine startd up and hung. I was not sure whether this was because it couldn't find the correct chip, based on the CMOS setting, or had I actually trashed the chip.
Nothing came up, no monitor, no keyboard. I have tried to discharge the burn-in AMI BIOS and restarted to no avail. I have tried to take out the CPU, the MEM, and put them back in, nothing worked.
Do you guys have any idea how'd I resurrect this dinasour?
