Poll: Chevy vs. Dodge vs. Ford

Now I noticed NFS4's thread on what type of truck is better.. but he didnt make it a damn poll!!! Comon NFS4!!!!

So this thread, my first New Topic post in Off Topic.. and my first poll post.. What is your favorite type of truck? Chevy? Ford? Dodge?

Mine is Chevy of course.. I have a nice 91' Silverado sitting in my driveway right now.

Thats a pretty close call. I think after Dodge gets the Hemi's in there they will all have great offerings. Now with Chevy having a proven Diesel (Not by their word but 3rd party I.E. Truck Trend, Pickuptruck.com) They all have great Power and reliability. My Stepbrothers father has a 94 F-350 with the 460 and his first part finally went out on it. Just the alternator, Not bad for 160,000 Miles!

I usually avoid these, but I'll bite....

Between myself and my family we have owned Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, Rover, Mercedes, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Maserati, BMW, VW, and Porsche. They each have their own little quirks.

For the most reliable, I would have to pick Mercedes, Toyota, or Subaru. They just run... period. Although not the best, Chrysler have been the best American cars out of the bunch. Notably the 67 Plymouth Baracuda "S" Notchback that I used to own and my brother's 92 Dodge Spirit.

For best cars, that is pretty much self explanitory amungst this group.

As for the least reliable, the American big three are right up there. I wish I could count all the drivetrain work that I have put into Ford, Rover, and Chevys. My Caprice 9C1 is in it's 3rd tranny and same with my bro's 93 Caravan.

The Ford Super Duty series with the Turbo Diesel engine has no rival, so since trucks should really be judged by what trucks are supposed to be for then Ford trucks are the best...no question.

I don't care what you Chevy zealots will reply to this because your brand doesn't even offer a close rival to the Super Duty.

I do not have a perference at all myself. I just buy what gets the job done.

As for Super Duty competitor, how about the Silverado HD the Chevy came out with this year?

Guess the year 2001 passed you by. If it's Diesel you looking for the Duramax is the new king of the hill. If it's Gas which in my opinion is far better, unless ALL you are going to do is tow and tow a lot at that, then the new 8.1 beats the pants off the V-10 also.

3rd party people commenting on the NEW king of the hill.

I'll try to find the site, but they did a Project Silverado SS with the 8.1 and put on a few Chevy performance parts (Heads Cam) and the engine was already producing 650HP.

Don't get me wrong though I would take a Ford any day also.
