*POLL* Can Nuclear weapons proliferation really be stopped?

"Nuclear technology is now so widespread that it is only political will which stops many countries from making nuclear weapons."

We were doing fairly well until *cough* someone pretty much jumped into the international ring with a big gun and started shouting "Don't make nukes!" all while telling his military to boost nuke bomb research and development. Then of course, every country that he didn't have his gun aimed at prompted started boosting their own development. But I'm rambling here. This belongs in P&N

Please Google "Non-Proliferation Treaty".

Of course. When we invent something more destructive and harder for the enemy to destory, why would we want nukes around?
