Poll: Blind Melon

the lead singer died a while ago. If you actually listen to full albums and not what mtv and the radio push on you, you would know they had a bunch of good songs.

the dude OD'ed , he isn't washed up so much as he is dead

i don't know what the poll question is either

the dead guy was a good singer, so should i vote "yes" ?

I saw them open for Soundgarden years back and was profoundly unimpressed. Their studio stuff was alright, but nothing to get very excited about IMHO.

Well..its more like... "Is Blind Melon good?" but ever since Ive done these polls I just put the name of the band. Simple enough.

How do you know i havent listened to it? Because i have, and No Rain was the only decent one.

You know what happens when you ASSUME......

Stating a band that no longer exists is "washed up" is all the info I need to make a educated assumption of your Blind Melon intellect.

No kidding they had more than 1 cd... Im basing my opinion on the 1 cd i heard. And how is stating my thoughts on Blind Melon crapping the thread? The question was asking for everyone's views on BM.. It wasnt a "Blind Melon tribute" thread where i came in and said "Blind Melon sucks!". I said they had a good song, (mistakenly said they were washed up) but the other stuff i heard on the CD wasnt that great. Sue me for having a fvcking opinion on the matter and trying to convey it. Just because my opinion differs from yours, doesnt mean you have to get all touchy about it.

Music is music. Some people like certain stuff, others dont. Im a RHCP fan, does that mean everyone has to be? Fvck no. And if i created a poll asking what people thought about them, id expect some negative answers.

relax dude. i never said you couldnt have an opinion, but stating they were washed up and have only 1 good song instead of saying you dont like there music is crapping on the thread. you sound uninformed and not worthy of making your opinion known. read some other posts by people who said they didnt like the band and learn a bit. you apparently got upset when I said you only listen to what mtv and the radio play for you. ill admit i didnt like your reply of them being washed up and you didnt like me assuming you never heard all their music. in the end it really doesnt matter.

friends?

yes, I haven't heard a whole lot, but I have heard more than No Rain. I like Tones of Home a lot. I live about 30 minutes from Lafayette so they've always had a fanbase around here, even after Shannon Hoon's demise...
