Both are equally important, though the tricep has 2/3 of the total upper arm muscle. Working one and not the other is just silly.

Jessieqwert - do you mean chinups and pullups? I found the way you described it a bit confusing. Why not say palms facing away, and palms facing towards yourself.

Yeah, I was just clarifying.

Or in this case confusing ;)

It all depends on if you are a pusher or a puller........:eek:

however, without one, the other is useless.

Most major sports movements (e.g. throwing a ball, swinging a club) a predominantly tricep-oriented. I laugh when I see "athletes" work their biceps to "gain speed on my fastball," etc. etc.
