For some reason I found that really funny.

And to avoid being a complete nef, I usually prefer my mom's cooking, not that it's any better than my dad's, she's just very efficient about it, make, eat, done. With my dad/stepmom it tends to be a production of sorts, and I dislike that.

depends. In the house my mother is a great cook. but on the grill my dad is really good.

though my step-father is pretty good. he was trained as a chief (hated the job though but went to school for it.)

Absolutely Mom is the better cook. I will bet my mom cooking skills against any moms.

Are you talking about occasional, excellent quality meals ( dad) ; or regular; high quality meals? ( mom)

My dad runs the kitchen I can't remember last my mother made a dinner. She's good at the sweet stuff though.

dad, by a mile. It always seems to me that people who are _really into cooking_ are generally men, even if on average a woman is a better house cook.

My dad's got some dishes he's awesome with and so does my mom. It's nothing but goodness for me whichever one is cooking when I visit :).

I'm a father and my kids love my cooking, i have sent recepies home to their mom but she can't cook at all.

My mom did all the cooking when i was little, only thing my dad can cook is a boiled egg.

this is more like us.. my husband cooks once a week when I'm lucky and about twice a year he makes an exceptional meal.. it's almost always good.. he's a good by the book cook and until fairly recently was more adventurous than I am, as to the recipes he chooses to cook.. he's gotten less so and I've gotten more so, lately..

I'm better at walking into the kitchen and seeing what food is there and turning into good food though.. he HAS to have a recipe to make dinner.

but I voted as the question was asked.. my mom is a much better cook than my dad.. he makes breakfast but it just doesn't occur to him to make anything else.
