more as my buzz wears off.......

Awesome selection, esp. the SRV. I love Blue Man Group's The Complex CD for rocking too.

It's totally impossible to narrow a single song down as "best" without a more limited selection but here's a wing...

My favorite band is problably Tool or Rush and although Tool "rocks out" a lot more than Rush I'd have to say Rush - Spirit of the Radio is my "popular" choice because I love the song and it's well known. Neil Pert is just a freaking machine (saw Rush a few months back and droooooool) and the song is a better option than those listed.

If you think Spirit of the Radio is too weak/lame then my real "rock out" choice is Tool's "Hooker with a Peni$". Tool are just f'ing awesome. This song is flat out raw and, well just listen to it... 🙂

The AC/DC choice should have been:

Highway to Hell

this is one hell of a rocking out song that is full of arrogance and spitefull attitude.

Just giving some love to music now...

SRV - Little Wing (everytime I hear it I'm like "damn, damn, just damn" - can't ever be played too loud on good equipment) & Pride & Joy

Led Zep - The Rain Song (so peaceful & relaxing)

Skynyrd - Simple Man & Tuesday's Gone (yes they do have better songs than Free Bird & Sweet Home Alabama) ;roll:

Pink Floyd - Mother (among others)

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (another master of the strings)

Celine Dion & Andrea Boccelli - The Prayer (some bias here - I suggested this song to my bro and his finacee and they used it as their first dance). Just two amazing voices that make an incredible song (IMO).

Tori Amos - Silent all These Years (yes she's a bit "different" but she's an amazing talent on the piano and very emotional with her songs)

Edit: Heh, thanks for keeping me up listening to music when I should be sleeping now! 😀 😛 Regarding that... I'd like to add another "rock out song" - Toadies - Possium Kingdom ("Rubberneck" is a great album BTW)

If 'rock out' means 'feelin satisfied' then Tool - Aenima is a real treat. I was under the impression I had to choose from classic rock. Aenima will run you ragged for its 7 minutes.

uuuuhhhh Tool 😛

edit: my bad, the song Eulogy

Why can you fault someone for getting pissed their intellectual property was being violated?
Old Metallica will always be cool but you don't have to hate an entire band for what they are entitled to do.

Another of many great songs by Tool. The way I look at it is if you like Tool then you know and if you don't then you haven't listened enough. Here's a great Tool page

...,.,.,..>>,<>,<,.<.,,.... it is so hard to teach the lemmings....,,;,;,,.,.,

listen to Undertow off from.... well Tool - Undertow

The Metallica will pass from your body. You will feel a new zeal, like from a time long ago when you first listened to Metallica, only the sounds shallst feel real this time; hints of Satan shall not reverberate in your body, you shall feel the real love that Tool has to offer.

Tired arguement... The simple fact is the RIAA is raping consumers on CD prices. They had a monopoly on music distribution and now they are losing it (legally or not). They've got to grow with the times. Maybe if they were more realistic in CD pricing they wouldn't have this theft/piracy problem? As far as Metallica, (IMO) their new stuff sucks and I own their old CD's anyway so I feel I have the right to strip out the songs I like and create a "favorites" CD for my car. If they don't like it they can sue me...

A group / someone I think needs mention is Freddy Mercury of Queen. Go ahead and make your favorite g-a-y joke but the dude had an amazing rock voice, period. I'd put "My Best Friend" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" in my favs...

So because it inconviences you, it's ok to steal? Since CDs are too pricy, you should just steal them because somehow two wrongs make a right? Get real.

I still think none of these, other than the Zep and AC/DC beats Unchained.......and don't make me mention Hot For Teacher. That f-ing RULES.

Did you even read my previous post? Most of the movies I own on DVD I already saw in theater and only purchased for repeat viewing or extra features.

Music is another story. I'll freely admit I'll download songs from a new release CD before buying it. If it's good I'll get it. If not, I'll keep the single mp3 I like and listen to it now and then on my computer. To be honest, I don't have the desire to create CD's's for my home/car. I've got plenty of them (legal) already and the radio is free.

Edit: deleted... not worth the time or arguement...
