I have been pulling my hair out trying to decide on a mobo for a budget system. Don't need SATA or Raid. Onboard sound, LAN and graphics would be required. I may upgrade to a better video card later, but my main rig is in my profile under "Qiuckness", and that is what I game on. This rig will be used for surfing, printing and kids games that play fine now on an old ATI 8mb card.

I have the following already:

Win XP Pro
Maxtor 20GB hdd
2x256 Corsair XMS3200C2
XP1900+

Users here will decide my choice. Your vote counts- unless you live in CA or FL where the voting system is completely pooched!! JK!!

I like the Shuttle as it has the MCP-T south bridge, so you get the updated soundcard and has firewire headers.

Don't put the extra money into the NF2 to do those light duty tasks is my advice. Buy the A7N266-VM AA for $65.99 shipped 2day from Zipzoomfly.com *formerly Googlegear* It has the GF2MX IGP which will still be much faster than that old 8mb card 98@play or whatever it is.

However, if you are intent on the nF2 please checkout the Soltek SL-75MRN-L as well :) Mine runs a 2500+@2.43ghz 422FSB dual channel synch mode and with coolbits I can run the IGP core@260 mhz and get 6001in 3DMock2k1. It's rock solid stable and has exactly the specs you are after and it's 96$ shipped from Newegg.
