[POLL] Best NFL bets for this week7 (10/19)...discuss

"Sports betting is legal in only two states: Nevada, through casino sports books, and Oregon, through a state lottery game entitled, "Sports Action". "

Is the above true ?

I'm thinking a 3 team parlay with BAL, TB, and KC - $100 wins $600. Or a 4 team with NO added in. $100 wins $1000.

TB & KC spreads surprise me. Those are locks.

wouldnt it be legal in NJ?

100 dollar parlays??? ouch man. i like my 11 team $1 parlays that i never win!

yeah baltimore is a lock
thats my vote.

KC-oak....hard to tell which oakland team might show up. still gotta give a nod to KC.

I was thinking that taking KC, TB, and NO would be a good parlay.

I only put money on one game so far this year, and won. I'm thinking of playing a parlay this week to increase the winning potential.

oakland without porter... their offense is hurting big time. hard to believe that just one player can change their offense so much. i think the 3 game parlay with TB, KC, and Bal sound good. i will be down with that too 😀

if i had to chose one... i think the TB game would be the best bet. garcia is hurtin', and he won't get any better against the bucs pass rush.

by the way, the titans/pathers game is a tough one. how could u even include that in this poll for "best bets"???

There is no "which Oakland", there is only the old, slow and crappy Oakland. They have not played a good game yet and there only wins have come against Cincy and SD, and both wins were by a small margin. They have been crushed by the great teams (Den) and have lost to decent teams (CLE). I guess the -3.5 to KC is just b/c Vegas (and people who bet) are still hoping some of the Raider magic from last year will happen, but I don't think it will.

Here is my bet for this weekend..

Parlay (3 Teams) 10/14/03 19:54 ET
25.00/166.02 Result: Pending

Buccaneers(TampaBay)
49ers(SanFrancisco) 10/19/03 (16:15 ET)
Buccaneers(TampaBay) -3.5 (-105)

Chiefs(KansasCity)
Raiders(Oakland) 10/20/03 (21:05 ET)
Chiefs(KansasCity) -3.5

Cowboys(Dallas)
Lions(Detroit) 10/19/03 (13:00 ET)
Cowboys(Dallas) -3 (+105)

i dont either. they are old and in need of care. i hate oakland as much as the next guy. but KC is coming off an emotional win, Oakland is coming off a crushing defeat. KC *could* be due for a letdown, it does happen in situations just as this.

I think Cincinatti can beat Baltimore @ home..just a hunch.

well, dillon should be back for this one, although he hasnt been a threat all year. i know he is battling thru injury. believe me....I KNOW. hes on my FF team.
but he has historically done well vs the ravens, you could be right mr kansas.

Well Porter may possibly play, and they are playing at home. Oakland still sucks though, and I don't see why the victory margin is so small, but who knows.

I'd take TB over SF. Garcia is riddle w/ injuries, the SF offensive line has even more injuries, TO is dropping passes, and the SF secondary is horrible. I just don't see how the Bucs can lose, especially where they would drop to a 3-3 record. O_O

As much as I hate to say it, Oakland is a tough place to play in, regardless of which Oakland team shows up. Last year we got spanked 24-0 there...But hey, I think KC can win, especially against such a porous run defense. If KC wins..7-0, and then they have buffalo @KC..win that, we are 8-0 into the bye week. Just some wishful thinking on my part.

you interested in CFB, staley8

i have a lock this week

Navy Vs Rice

Navy -3.5 Navy is a bigtime rushing offense
Rice averages 225 ypg given up in rushing.
i know its OT for this thread, but this game could make you some dough.

thanks for the suggestion but I don't know squat about CFB. I only know NFL.

I will agree with most everyone on this thread.

I like Baltimore (-2.5) over the Bengals.
I like Dallas (-3 or so) over the Lions.
I like TB (-3.5) over 49ers.
I like KC (-3.5) over the Raiders.
I think Miami (-5.5) will beat the Pats. Pats never do well in Miami and I think the Pats are soft.

I don't think I would do a 5 team parlay. 4 of my teams are playing on the road.
If I had to pick a lock I would say KC over the Raiders in a romp (MNF seems to have a lot of blowouts).
but I also REALLY like Bal and Dallas to win going away.
